  • La Bendición Farm is nestled in La Providencia within the Dipilto-Jalapa mountain range in northeastern Nueva Segovia, boasting a unique cloud forest microclimate with average temperatures of 18°C. The sandy loam soil creates excellent conditions for coffee cultivation, enhanced by a variety of shade trees like guaba and native species. The farm spans a total of 367 acres, with 194 acres dedicated to coffee and 173 acres consisting of pine and broad-leafed forests. Sustainable agronomic practices are employed, utilizing
organic compost from coffee pulp and biological traps to manage Coffee Berry Borer (CBB). Additionally, the farm employs low molecular weight biological products to further promote environmental health. Luis Alberto Balladarez, with a rich history in northern Nicaragua's coffee farming, owns and manages Beneficio Las Segovias, a coffee processing mill renowned for its specialty coffees and microlots. His unique approach to managing several farms ensures quality control throughout the coffee production process, fostering trust among local farmers who rely on his expertise for processing their coffees.
