  • The Santa Inês estate, part of the Sertão Group, boasts over 100 years of expertise in premium coffee production. Nestled in Carmo de Minas, South Minas Gerais, this family-owned firm, now run by José Isidro Pereira's descendants, thrives in a region known for its ideal growing conditions—mountainous terrain, mineral springs, and fertile soil. The Sertão Group has expanded its coffee program significantly, cultivating a variety of high-quality Arabica coffee for domestic and international markets. Beyond coffee, they also breed Girolando cattle and grow crops like corn and soybeans, all while ensuring high standards through qualified technical support. The estate supports around 135 families, offering quality housing, education, and healthcare. Environmentally, they employ sustainable practices, recycling water and using coffee husks as organic fertilizer. Carmo de Minas has gained recognition for exceptional coffee quality, reflected in awards and rising specialty coffee demand, led by innovative producers who prioritize ripeness in harvesting techniques.
