V60 Brewing Guide

  • Coffee: 25g
  • Grind Size: Medium fine (like table salt)
  • Water: 400g. 91°C/195°F
  • Total Brew Time: 4 Minutes
  • Yields appx. 1.5 cups
Start timer right after the initial pour.

Check time when draining is complete.

PREP

  1. Wet the filter in the V60 cone with hot water over a mug or carafe. Dispose of water.
  2. Place 25g of ground coffee into the wet filter.
  3. Tap to even out the bed of coffee grounds. Zero out the scale.

BLOOM

  1. Pour 50g of water in a circular motion to wet coffee evenly.
  2. Start timer, then wait 30 seconds for coffee to de-gas.

BREW

  1. Pour 100g of water in a circular motion over the next 20 seconds.
  2. Intermittently pour the rest of the water to maintain a steady water sruface level.

DRAIN

  1. Let drain entirely.
